Robot Teachers
The race to ramp up efficiency in teaching is heating up in Asia via a new robot that has been
introduced to South Korean schools.
The KIRO robot, developed by Korea's Robot Institute, was originally designed to serve as a museum
guide, but the response to the robot was so positive the creators reprogrammed it for testing in schools
as an educational aid for teachers. Contrary to some domestic-only robots we seen coming out of
Japan, the makers intend to market the KIRO to the U.S. in the near future. You can seen the KIRO in
