Many people think that cloning should be a crime. Those with left-leaning political views typically state
that cloning is against nature and those with right-leaning views typically state that it is against God's
laws. Individual opinions vary tremendously, but those are the major trends. Trying to pass laws,
however, leads to the ironic situation that a human clone would be an illegal being. The clone would
obviously not have participated in the crime of cloning, and yet would be both a human with human
rights and a product of a criminal act.
