Increased numbers of Luddites
I think that it is sad to see how many people have become Luddites. After technology has proven itself
time and time again, technology still remains the problem in so many people’s minds. Am I to believe
that humans are the problem, not nature? If nature is not the problem then why do we all have furnaces
which automatically heat our homes? Why do we have running water rather than fetching it from a
stream like “nature intended”? Without humans and technology, the earth is eventually doomed to
another collision with an asteroid or comet which will terminate some large percentage of the species.
As unpopular as the notion is these days, I stand firmly on the proposition that humans are the answer,
not the problem.
Separate the CO2 emissions issue from the "climate problems". CO2 feeds the plant life on this planet
and plants are benefiting from increased CO2. Some report that 15% of our crop increase is due to
increased CO2. The solution to “climate change” is to identify nature as being the enemy in terms of
hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, ice ages, asteroid strikes, volcanoes, etc. We need to control nature.
We need to predict and prevent natural disasters.
Think in terms of a thermostat for the globe. Whereas using sulfur to reduce warming may not be the
solution, something like it is likely to work quite well. Only human technology can tame nature.
