Warming is not happening

Observations in ice cores show that temperature increases have preceded — not resulted from —
increases in CO2, by hundreds of years, suggesting that the warming of the oceans is an important
source of the rise in atmospheric CO2.

After reading the posts on this site, I notice that it is mostly mud slinging and political rhetoric. I went to
see Al Gore's movie with my girlfriend, who is unscientific but easily swayed by cartoons of polar bears
drowning because a piece of ice that they want to sit on is melting and breaking up. What I noticed was
that the warming of the oceans caused an increase in CO2, a phenomenon which could be replicated on
my stove with soda water and heat. Observations in ice cores show that temperature increases have
preceded, not resulted from increases in CO2, by hundreds of years, suggesting that the warming of the
oceans is an important source of the rise in atmospheric CO2. So what is all the fuss about? Why should
politics or oil companies even enter the discussion?

Global warming causes an increase in CO2 and burning carbon based fuels releases CO2 as well. More
CO2 is obviously a good thing because it increases crop growth. My cousin had a hot house and he
added CO2 to the atmosphere to stimulate growth.

I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.
