Decision Tree Regarding How to Construct a Turing Android
This is a guide to designing Turing Androids.
The goal is to produce a Turing Android prototype in 2019, or sooner if possible.
This would be done using the techniques of Artificial General Intelligence rather than simple AI.
One needs emotions, for example. Steware Russell, and Peter Norvig's Artificial Intelligence defines
the goal of AI on page 28 to be "concerned mainly with rational action." They ask the question "Are you
concerned with thinking or behavior?"
Part of the design is to:
1. Understand how the human design achieves intelligence.
2. Decide which attributes of the human we wish to retain.
3. Describe in detail which attributes we wish to implement and make mock-ups for proof of principle.
