In the freezers of U.S. fertility clinics are more than 400,000 frozen human embryos. This is due to
a growing fertility industry which creates many embryos but uses only the best ones. A large
proportion of these embryos will never be used. The cost of family insurance for those who can
prove that they have carefully chosen their offspring should eventually go down simply because
the likelihood of medical problems decreases as care in reproduction is taken.
Compare the results of families which use fertility clinics and emphasize quality control to those
who ignore preparation and "save" defective premature babies from dying naturally.
It seems that some people are practicing eugenics and others are practicing dysgenics. It will be
interesting to see how this plays out in the coming years.
