How do Beginning Robots Look at Global Warming?
When you purchase an integrated circuit from an electronics supplier there are often two
versions available. The commercial version has been tested to operate over a relatively small
range of temperatures. The military version has been tested to work over a larger temperature
range.
It seems likely that in the future we will have humans, commercial robots and military robots.
If global warming or global cooling becomes large, perhaps only the military robots will survive
and the commercial robots and humans will go extinct.
We should design military robots to have a commercial mode of operation.
Doesn't seem like much of a problem.
