Eliminate Jobs

Robot manufacturer Kawada Industries is headed by Mr. Kawada, who stated the following in Robot
Magazine:

"One could quite easily envision robots replacing people in the manufacturing sector.  Mr. Kawada is very
quick to point out that 'This technology is not unemployment technology.  It is, in fact, employment
technology.'  The way Kawada Industries sees it, developed countries have much higher labor costs.  This
translates into companies outsourcing their manufacturing to countries that have cheaper labor.  The only
way to prevent a manufacturing sector from being outsourced to other countries is to improve the efficiency
of their own manufacturing sector.  Robotics is a big part of the answer to this dilemma.  If robots can help to
improve manufacturing efficiency, they will help to keep the factories at home."

"There remain many things that people can do that robots cannot do, but in a rote, repetitive-task situation,
robots are becoming more and more relevant.  Their capabilities are expanding expontntially; they are
tireless; and they do not make mistakes."

This illustrates the first principle of economics in a robot age.  Those nations which automate will do better
economically.
