Barriers to New Economics Principles

As I look at the list of features, it seems that Paperport 12 Professional must do just about everything. When I use it to
scan something, My HP Officejet Pro L7555 sheet feeder scrunches up the document. I also have a Fujitsu ScanSnap
S1500 which doesn't seem to work with PaperPort at all. It takes the previously scrunched document and scans it
perfectly in spite of the fact that the PaperPort/HP conbo had scrunched it all up.

What would be nice is software that would recognize the document and assign a category to it. A letter with one
letterhead would be placed in a folder associated with that company and another letterhead would go to another folder.
Rather than asking me to assign a name to the document, the document could automatically get a name which
combines the company name with the date of the letter. As it is, I can only have an automatic date assigned, but not the
name or the folder to which it is to be sent. Same thing could be done with bills and invoices it seems to me. Is there
anyone that has such software? Perhaps PaperPort can do this and I am too stupid to know how it works.

One of the problems is patents may delay the incorporation of new ideas.

Another potential barrier is defeating Net Neutrality, COPA and PIPA.
U.S. Court Curbs F.C.C. Authority on Web Traffic
    By EDWARD WYATT

WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that regulators had limited power over Web traffic
under current law. The decision will allow Internet service companies to block or slow specific sites and charge
video sites like YouTube to deliver their content faster to users.
So, why would Comcast want to slow internet services from web sites which broadcast television and movie webcasts
that compete with their television offerings?  Answer: Comcast doesn't want to lose their TV Cable business any sooner
than absolutely necessary.

Why does Comcast block telephone VOIP conversations or charge extra for them in Canada?  Because in Canada and
the US people who switch from Comcast Phone service to Google, MagicJack or Skype are taking away a high-profit
business. In Canada, they got away with their little scam but in the US they couldn't.  In the US, they depend on people
being dumb enough to fall for their marketing ploys.  Telephone for "only" $33 per month.  Many organic robots are
dumb enough to fall for it.
