Maggie Mae and Joe go out to dinner
Joe and Maggie Mae went out to dinner. Their Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle discussed which
restaurant to eat at. Some were too crowded and others had specials going on. They choose
a special at one of their favorite Italian restaurants. This reserved a parking space and a
table for them. The car said that it would take 20 minutes and offered to drive them to the
hardware store to pick up a new white LED light to replace the burned out Compact
Fluorescent bulb which the home robot had noticed was not working. Normally, if they didn't
have time to do the purchasing, the robot would simply order it from an on-line site. While
they were being driven to the hardware store, the Hybrid car discussed the entrees available
at the restaurant that night.
After purchasing the bulb, the car took them to the restaurant and parked in the space
reserved for the couple's automobile.
Maggie Mae commented to Joe, "I thought that you said that the robots would be taking over.
Here it is 2015 and there is no sign that the robots are all that intelligent."
