Future Robot Situations

In the decade between 2020 and 2030 there will be a significant number of "robots" and
computers created that replace the work functions of human beings.

At some point, for example, we expect to see a human computer programmer being laid off
because the computer exists with those capabilities and is less expensive and doesn't need a
retirement plan or healthcare.  The new style of human programmer must simply discuss the
problem to be solved with a computer and the computer will generate the appropriate software
code.

(Note that such code need no longer be written in a high-level language nor must it be
reusable.  The computer is very good at detailed jobs and could simply generate low-level
machine code.)

The obvious result is that the computers and robots will need to pay taxes on a mythical salary
simply because they are replacing workers who used to pay taxes.  This 'salary tax' will occur
in spite of the fact that the robots and computers don't get a salary.  Otherwise, how will
society support the unemployed workers?

The need for children is obviously on the decline because everyone knows that as time has
gone on, a child costs you more and more dollars to raise and educate.  To add to the misery,
the chances that they will be unemployed and have to move in with you have increased and
will continue to increase.  So the concept of having a child to take care of you in your old age
must be compared to saving up your money in order to purchase a robot who will take care of
you in your old age.

Example: Bob Smith spent a lot of money; got a single child; child definitely won't take care of
him in his old age.  Had he put the money in the stock market and saved up for a sex doll and
nurse-robot, he would be ahead of the game.  Basically the game is changing as we are trying
to lead our lives.  Leading your life by example of your parents no longer works.  Half of Bob's
siblings are living with their mother which is good for both of them because the jobs for older
people are diminishing (passing out carts at Wal-Mart) and the nurse robots are not yet
available.

When Bob is 90 years-old, nurse-robots will be common.  Either national healthcare will begin
to use such robots or the cost of Medicare will bankrupt the USA.
At that point in the future where it costs you $50,000 to get a huge penis transplanted to your
groin so as to impress the chicks, you will be able to purchase a sex-doll robot that will satisfy
your needs and tell you how wonderfully big you are.  What will you choose to do at that point?
Will you combine sex doll and nurse?  Will there be laws passed that make you guilty of
sexual harassment of a nurse robot?  Will you claim that it is simply feather-bedding by the
nurse robot union?  (Get it, feather-bedding in regards to sex...)
