Larry King Interviews 150 year-old Woman

Hello, Ellen, I understand that you are 150 years old.

Yes, Larry, I have been around since Abe Lincoln was president.

Wow, that is impressive.

Yes, he was shot on my fourth birthday, April 14, 1865.

The day before IRS day.

No, Larry, they didn't have income taxes back then.

Well, you must remember many important events that happened in your lifetime.

Sure do. World War One, World War Two, the Korean War, the Vietnam War.

I was just talking to Al Gore and he wanted to verify that the most important thing that you
remember over the last 150 years is the rise in the sea levels due to man-made global
warming.

Can't say that I remember anyone being concerned about it.

Are you sure that Abe Lincoln wasn't concerned with the ice melting? Didn't the ice age end
back then?

I don't recall any big deal over global warming. I lived in New York City for awhile and I
remember they were working on raising the sea walls.

That must have been the headlines on the New York Times.

No, Larry, it wasn't a big deal at all. All that happened in my lifetime concerning the oceans is
that they rose about 18 inches. That's only about 46 centimeters. Nobody would be concerned
about something as trivial as that, would they?
