Intel has 6 processors on a chip by the first quarter of 2010. They are planning to have 8
processors per chip by the end of the year.
Nuance claims that they can use the multiple processors on a quad core chip. Is this a trend which is
just beginning? Conversion of Video formats might be helped by multiple core processors.
Tilera has 64 cores per chip and is planning more as technology permits.
