What if you could track the history of your fruits and vegetables? If an individual customer had a
barcode reader in her purse, she could use it to scan the barcode on her friuts and vegetables in order
to determine where they came from and how long ago they were picked.
When do you think that such a procedure will first be tried?

It is happening now.
It is old news, it has been going on in Japan since early 2005.
