Genes versus Scenes

Are humans most influenced by their inherited genetic code or are they most influenced by their environment?

When it comes to being a sociopath (a criminal type that tends not to respect community rules and laws), how much do
you think is inherited?

a. Less than 10%
b. More than 10% but less than 30%.
c. More than 30% but less than 50%.
d. More than 50% but less than 70%.
e. More than 70% but less than 90%.
f.  More than 90%.

A Swedish study of 862 men born out of wedlock and adopted at an early age showed the following linkage between
behavior, environment and genes.

Good genes and good environment…3% arrest rate, mostly minor offenses.
Good genes and bad environment…. 7% crime rate
Bad genes and good environment…12% crime rate.
Bad genes and a bad environment…40% crime rate.

Ratio of 40:12 is 3.33
Ratio of 7:3 is 2.33 for an average effect due to environment of 2.8 bad/good ratio

Ratio of 40:7 is 5.7
Ratio of 12:3 is 4 for an average effect due to genetics of 4.8 bad/good raito

In this area, genetics seems to play the bigger effect.

The ratio of 2.8 to (2.8+4.8) is 37% which leaves 63% for the genetic component.
