The Myth of Human "Intelligence"
Teachers and School Superintendents are certainly responsible for much of what goes on the public
school system in the United States. Do teachers know that younger children have an easier time of
learning new languages? Yes, would be the answer. Then why do schools insist on teaching foreign
languages in middle school and high school rather than in elementary school?
The concept that even the more educated and presumably more intelligent humans should be chosen to
teach our youth. Yet even these selected teachers do not have the intelligence to move foreign
language instruction to the lower grades.
