We have Science, pseudoscience and myth. A subset of Pseudoscience is Paranormal that is separated
by the fact that it requires belief in explanations for the alleged phenomena that are well outside the
boundaries of established science.
If biorhythms are thought to be caused by accurate clocks set in motion at birth, it is considered a
pseudoscience. If the explanation is that they are caused by the ‘spiritual cosmos’ then they are
classified as paranormal. This classification technique runs into some overlap, but, what the hay, it is all
junk science. New Age is a movement toward the belief in pseudoscience, especially the paranormal.
