Legal Clone of Shakespeare
It is not legal to clone human beings. But what about recovering the bits of DNA from
Shakespeare and constructing a monkey with Shakespeare’s brain? The resulting monkey
could not speak due to vocal chord placement, but we could teach him to type. We could
claim that it was simply an example of the British Museum Algorithm coming true.
The British Museum Algorithm is that if enough monkeys type randomly on enough
typewriters for long enough, they will eventually write all of the plays of Shakespeare. The
problem is the huge job of finding all of the plays amongst all the random trash.
