Definitions of Intelligence

Intelligence is the ability to achieve complex goals in complex environments. (1)

Human intelligence (HI) is a subset of General Intelligence (GI) which places limitations on the brain
capacity and creates an orientation of the human brain toward those processes which are required to
survive in a Darwinian environment on the planet Earth.

Kim Peek is an Autistic Savant with an eidetic (photographic) memory.  Mozart also had an eidetic
memory for music and could listen to a piece of music and then play it note for note.  Now considered a
genius, Mozart died a poor and broken man.  Does this mean that Savants are not appreciated while
alive?  Are Savants more or less intelligent than average "normal" humans?
