PC with DRAM Buffer for Hard Disc Drive
If the computer had a battery backup sufficient to save its larger DRAM, it seems that one could design
and build a PC with 16 or 32 Gigabytes of DRAM which would allow for much faster operation. Currently
my PC boots up to at least 5 minutes of disc thrashing. The DRAM could be attached to the hard disc
drive much like the flash-based hard disc drives now being prototyped.
