Tracking Down Lost Items

If all of your valuable items had an RFID tag and you had scanners in your car and home, you might get
some clues as to where you lost something.  Your computer which tracks such things might tell you that
your camera was last seen leaving your front door last Tuesday.

When scanning devices become less expensive, one might want to track their keys, cameras and cell
phones from room to room.  Did you go out and leave your cell phone?  Did your car remind you of that
fact as you entered it?

With the population of humans aging, forgetting where you "put it" may become a big industry.

Your Rovio-style robot could wander the house looking for where you left your camera by scanning for
its RFID tag.

An RFID scanner in the coat closet might track down those items left in your coat pocket.
