Look for the Denouement

Denouement is a word which means the outcome of a complex sequence of events or the final resolution of
the main complication of a dramatic story.

We use this concept in investment when we see a stock market story unfolding.  Take the story of Palm
Computers, for example.  It seemed that the story line was favoring PALM stock until it became obvious that
one now needs not only a smart phone, but to capture the imagination of independent software developers
and have them write applications for your Smart Phone.  Thus it was that although PALM had stolen the
engineers and marketing folk from Apple and developed a very nifty and compact Palm Pre and Palm Pre
plus with extraordinary hardware features, they lacked the apps library of Apple and Google.
