Basics of Human Manipulation

Humans love fiction narratives and, by comparison to Non-Fiction, you
don't have to do much to have a human read or listen to a narrative.
Reading Non-Fiction can be another story (see how story is embedded
into the language?).

As a result, cultures have devised a method called "education" by which
they cram non-fiction down people's throats in spite of their not wanting
it nearly as much as Fiction.

First is learning speech by listening to language.  This is almost
automatic, requiring only the presence of other humans speaking a
reasonably constructed language.  After this, it is less instinctual to
learn reading and writing, so, it is off to school to learn reading, writing
and arithmetic.  Even after learning to read, the human is very likely to
prefer to read narratives rather than non-fiction.  As a result, the human
needs more schooling in history, geometry, psychology, foreign
languages, science, algebra, calculus, physics and geology.  You may also
want to teach her a skill such as welding or automobile repair.
Maintaining robots is my favorite choice.

Most public libraries will have the Fiction section on the first floor and
the Non-Fiction section on the second floor.
