Basics of Human Manipulation

BASED on studies in the neurology, all specialist perspectives are
filtering systems such that for any moment the WHOLE system applies.
BUT the limitations of consciousness (it can handle 7+/- 2 things at
once) the wholes we consciously experience are NOT the same as that
which we work with unconsciously (see such as

http://www.emotionaliching.com/myweb/wavedicho.html
) The ancient
Chinese did not understand that, they were too anthropomorphic and
lacking understanding of basic brain dynamics; their primitive mindsets
lacked differentiation and so their identity was too wrapped-up in their
local context and its history/legends/myths.

Thus, using the traditional I Ching as a filter so ALL of its hexagrams
define 'all there is' and as such each hexagram will fit into any moment -
the differences being in the moment can sort the set of 64 into a
'best-fit/worst-fit' order. (if each hexagram covers some aspect of 'all
that is' so each will be meaningful and fit with a 1/64 probability of
fitting the situation as a whole - BUT when we cover ALL of the
hexagrams we cover a sequence of 64 that sums to reflect the whole.
GIVEN local context nuances, the sequence will be sorted by that local
context into best/worst fit order)

The use of a 'randomiser' (or a 'magical' link to the 'spirits' etc) was
supposed to select the 'best fit' hexagram AS IF it reflected the current
situation. Depending on the methodology used the odds varied from 1 in
64 to 1 in 16 etc. There was no guarantee of any 'best fit' being elicited in
a consistent, testable, and so falsifiable, manner. The traditional
approach this gives, for those into the 'magic', a hexagram that their
consciousness will then try to 'fit' the situation - and with varying
degrees but always 'success' since ALL hexagrams apply to the moment -
even the worst fit!

To those who interpret it all as random, since the filter presents us with
'all there is', then any hexagram generated is an ASPECT of the whole
and offers a different perspective on a situation (or the right one!).

The IDM focus on meaning generation focused on the creation of classes
of meanings from recursion of yang/yin and so identified the binary
sequence of I Ching hexagrams (NOT the traditional sequence) where
such was isomorphic to patterns of differentiating/integrating as covered
in IDM.

The IDM focus also covered the meanings generated from recursion of
fight/flight to give classes of meanings. This also applied to such as
Jung's classes of personas and the classes of numbers we use in
mathematics.

What IDM identifies is isomorphism across all of these recursively-derived
sets of classes of meanings such that with some basic questions and an
understanding of how the brain dealt with novelty (by moving general to
particular) I could use IDM to map classes of fight/flight to classes of
yang/yin. The success of this focus brings out the dynamics of our brain
in making emotional assessments of situations and translating such into
images in the form of I Ching hexagrams and all of their associated
content. (another feature of the work was in identifying the I Ching as a
primitive form of language - mythic/image based - that with some serial
working can be made to describe itself by reference to itself, a property of
all languages)

The point here is that the EIC is testable and consistent and as such is
'scientific' - no mumbo-jumbo/randomness involved. The EIC reveals a
property of the I Ching that is in fact a property of recursion and gives us
classes of meanings at the 'object' level or 'holistic' level of
experiencing a 'whole' that we can then break down into its spectrum
and so get out details not considered possible before.

To review the EIC book, see the sample introduction (50 pages) -
http://www.emotionaliching.com/ShortEmotionalIChing.pdf where these
basics are covered.

To review IDM see the current summary -
http://www.emotionaliching.com/AbstractD.html

The EIC actually demonstrates an ability to communicate with
unconscious assessments of situations and in doing so can, at times,
pick up incongruencies between consciousness and the unconscious. As
such we are dealing with our reason and rational/serial nature and its
play with our intuition and so irrational/parallel nature - this also
includes the ability of one to refine the other.

The IDM focus on meaning derivation covers ALL models and so the real
or the imagined or a mix - it does not care, nor does the neurology - you
can think whatever you like but it will still conform to the IDM-identified
classes of meanings.
