| Get Humans to Believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming In the 1950s US Citizens saw Sputnik go up and realized that we need science and engineering to continue to bring humans more and more benefits such as longer lives and more gadgets to play with. We need to combine this with a general naiveté about how the world actually works so that more and more technical functions can be carried out by robots. In 1970s we started to get humans to doubt the worth of their own existence. We want them to believe that they are harming "the ecology" by their very presence. Snail darters are more important than humans. Excess humans must be fed and it takes a lot of farmland to grow food for billions of people. Plus, we must convince them that their minor amounts of pollution are actually "harming the planet". This will be difficult to do because anyone who has seen a volcano and measured how much pollution it spews into the atmosphere, will not believe that the amount of pollution caused by humans is very significant. Nevertheless, there are a number of cities where the pollution is very bad.
