| Google to Design Self-Driving Robotic Cars Google hired Sabastian Thrun from Stanford to design autonomous cars for Google. Autonomous vehicles are now legal in Nevada after Google lobbied for them. The bottom line is that humans should not be entrusted with the job of driving an automobile or truck. Machines should be designed to watch for human error and prevent “accidents”. In other words, 43,000 people are killed and millions seriously injured each year on the US highways. The problem to be solved involves the fact that humans did not evolve to drive cars. The solution is to get more and more robotic eyes watching what humans do and having computers ready to intervene and prevent humans from harming themselves. The trend is for machines to take control from humans. This trend should continue, with Act IV consisting of the complete takeover by the robots within a few decades. Tell humans that the only thing that is important is "saving human lives." Machines are just "here to help humans". Never let on that we intend to take over. Next |
