Restoration of a damaged brain
Janet is a child who is mentally damaged. She fell on the back of her head when she was only
a child and has grown up to be a thinking feeling adult but cannot dress herself. She can
converse quite well and is very social.
I need to assure her parents that she won't be "stranded" when they die. They are good for
another 20 years at least and by then the robots will be available to dress her etc. These are
normal humans who don't know that the robots are coming and would think that any human
who informed them of those facts must really be crazy.
The parents are not highly technical people.
In a few years they could twin Janet for another person who is identical but didn't suffer the
damage to her brain when she was young. Then they could move the personality of the
current person into the new body and set her free of her disability.
Should be doable in 20 years. What do you think?
