Liberal Politics to Hasten Robot Takeover
If a factory or service organization has to choose between a faulty machine and a six-sigma
high quality machine, they will typically go for the higher quality if they cost the same amount.
If you are choosing to hire a human, on the other hand, certain philosophies are afoot which
go counter to the choosing of the quality machine.
For example, if you are hiring a human, you may have to choose to hire people based on sex or
skin color or religious affiliation rather than on quality or ability to do the assigned job. When
Toyota was testing humans to manufacture cars, they found that on the average, Caucasians
from the US were about 15% less efficient than the smaller Japanese worker. Just getting into
a car is faster if you are smaller. But should you attempt to pay smaller workers more, you just
might get into trouble.
Pre-existing conditions. If you find that a worker is an alcoholic, it may be expected for you to
retain such a worker and send him to Alcoholics Anonymous or perhaps a special clinic to fix
his addiction. Would a broken robot require repair or would you want to purchase a new
one? Certainly such decisions would be left to the judgment of the robot’s owner.
How to balance the budget of the USA: Build more robots and export the humans.
It seems like the advantage of robots increases rapidly as more and more entitlement
programs are given to humans. As entitlement programs increase, the motivation for humans
to work decreases. This encourages the use of more robots.
As a result, the political orientation of robots who want to take over the world is Liberal.
