Will Organic or Inorganic Dominate the Future?

Note the discussion under Human Beginner of Organic versus Inorganic.

Compare the organic “breakthrough” at the top of the page with the inorganic “breakthrough” at the
bottom of the page.

There is a section called Questionbot in which I wish to question humans as to their opinions.  One
question would be to place the above page in the Questionbot section and ask the human reader if
they believe that in 10 years the most used remote robot for searching for humans after an
earthquake will be a

1.        Organic mouse with remote electronic control.  Advantage is that it may already have an acute
sense of smell.  Disadvantage is that it might be tough to tap into visual system and send pictures
back to home station.  One could add a camera to the mouse, but then are you also going to add
smelling organs?  If so, what is the advantage of the mouse other than quadrupedal dexterity?

2.        Inorganic device such as the machine shown.  One needn’t try to redesign DNA in order to
make changes to the design, nor does one have to interface with organic structures.
