Human Seem Stupid to Robots
Kahneman says you can't think well with emotions and Domasio says that you can't think
without them. Who is correct on this issue?
Antonio Domasio has noticed that if the basic human instinct of "this is good for me" or "this is bad for
me" is missing from a human brain due to a lesion, then the human might go on and on without making
any decision. Under some circumstances the lesion might be so that the person would gamble without
feeling the pain of losing and therefore continue to gamble. A robot without an "is this good or is this
bad" mechanism could not behave any better than the patients that Kahneman cites.
