Robots are used where it would be dangerous for humans to work.

One application is in spray painting.  It would be dangerous for humans to breathe the
atmosphere in a spray painting booth.

We can also send a robot into a building to check for bombs or into a building that has been
damaged by an earthquake so as not to risk human life.

We can use robots to search the ground for land mines.
