Machines are obviously much faster than humans

Intelligence is measured by many means.  Speed is one of them.  Standard PCs communicate with
Ethernet as well as WiFi styles g and n.  No matter how you look at it, humans cannot store data at
nearly the rate a PC can.  Take a PC with a one Terabyte disc drive and 1 Gigabit Ethernet connection
to the Internet.  Compare the performance to a human which is limited to storing data at about two bits
per second.  This fact about the slow human speed of storage may be found together with arguments to
its truth in
The Emotion Machine by Marvin Minsky, p. 177-178.
