A computer is only a tool that can follow instructions.
Part I
The progress is as follows:
-Single cells which must reproduce themselves if they are to survive.
-Insects like the bee in which manufacturing of the next generation is a family affair in which the
Queen bee simply cranks out the babies and pretty much everyone else keeps them growing and are
"as busy as a bee."
-Mammals in which the female is the baby factory and the male can do some other things, like invent
tools.
-Robots and Computers which have for the first time remoted the manufacturing process so that no
reproductive organs are included in a robot or a computer. Most robots, unlike people, have nothing to
do with the process of producing more robots. Instead of taking decades and lots of labor and money to
raise human children, the robots are made in efficient factories and cranked out in volume. At Dell,
the rate of 'reproduction' of computers is over one hundred thousand per day. Traditionally human
females are baby factories which birth and raise children while the males are free to pursue other
goals. Only quite recently has the notion of "taking vacations" and "women voting and working"
occurred. Modern human culture demands (via "political correctness") humans to ignore the origins
of the human female as essentially a baby factory.
Why do you think that life must look like organic stuff? Is it the squishiness that you feel is required?
The sequence of human's and human culture's progressive evolved development; roughly speaking is:
1. Mammals learn spoken language.
2. They learn to walk on two feet.
3. They learn written language and primitive counting.
4. They learn advanced mathematical concepts and complex writing.
In this list, 1 and 2 may be reversed or simultaneous.
Compare the evolution of the computer. Early Personal Computers became popular because of the
spreadsheet software which made doing business plans much simpler. In other words, what was the
most popular for the PC was amongst the most difficult operations for humans.
Then note the reverse evolution that takes place with computers/robots:
-The calculator evolves which is most capable at simple mathematical chores such as adding,
subtracting, multiplying and dividing. The calculator exceeds the human’s abilities in speed and
memory capacity. A race between the abacus and a human operating a calculator is popular.
-The calculator evolves into a computer which has the ability to prove mathematical theorems. (Note
the theorem proof programs of the last century.)
-The computer which has the added ability to scan text and print text at very high rates of speed that
exceed the human’s ability.
-The computer evolves into a robot which has the ability to walk on two feet. http://edition.cnn.

-The computer starts to have some abilities with human speech. Robots are used as receptionists but
are not yet good conversationalists.
The full convergence will occur when robots are better at speaking than humans are and after that,
then end of the dominance of the human race. The phenomenon is called “gradual extinction with
cooperation”. Note that the human is not only contributing to its own extinction, but is the direct
cause of it.
