When you desire to capture something on the screeen, try highlighting it with the mouse by pointing to
the beginning of the area to be copied and pressing the left mouse button. While holding the button
down, drag the mouse to highlight the area. After it is highlighted, the use Control C to copy it and then
change the focus of the mouse to the place where you want to paste the item, such as in an email
message. Once you have clicked the left mouse button while the mouse pointer is at the area where
you want to paste it, then press Control V to paste it.
If the area to be copied cannot be highlighted as described above, try using Print-Screen by pressing
the PrtScn button on the keyboard. Then open Microsoft Paint and past the whole screen into the paint
program by pressing Control V. Then point your mouse pointer toward the select button and press the
left mouse button. Select the desired area by pointing to the upper left hand corner of the area desired
and pressing the left mouse button. Hold the button down as you drag the mouse to the lower
right-hand corner of the area desired. Release the mouse button and verify that the dashed line
outlines the area of the picture that you desire. Then click the "crop" button.
Then save the file where you want to find it later. Remember where you put it and what you named it so
that you can insert it as a picture in a text message later.
